EAC has several programs for justice-involved individuals. 

Individuals are provided with:

Mentoring Services

Housing assistance

Job Assistance

Referrals for Wraparound Services

Examples of cases the Re-entry Unit will consider include:

Employment discrimination

Section 8 Problems

Certificates of relief from civil disability/certificates of good conduct

Denial of professional license and

Denial of employment due to prior neglect/abuse findings (at the ALJ level).

The mission of the Suffolk County Reentry Task Force is to promote public safety by creating a comprehensive approach among law enforcement and correctional treatment that will redirect the lives of formerly incarcerated individuals at high risk for remaining within the criminal justice system. This work is done by targeting essential services and treatment to remedy root factors that have been determined to contribute to criminal behavior.
